I would agree with the post mega b. What is your sites purpose? Why would anyone repetedly return? what is your edge? You should think about your edge and run with it.

On the otherhand you seem to be getting respoders into your blog so you are not doing as bad as most.

If you really want to get search engine results the key is inbound links that are relevant to your topic. So establishing a topic could be the missing link for you. Make sure you build links in the right places, high PR sites, and relevant sites.

Make sure your content is "SEO friendly". You can get a free report on how to get SEO friendly by clicking on my signiture link.

I agree that links are great for getting attention and building your reputation. However, if there is nothing valuable or attractive about your landing pages then visitors may never turn back again. Create the best content you can with the best products you can possibly offer. Your content is your best advertisement - if visitors love your content, then they will go back and spread the word to mouth to others.

Hey everyone.... Sorry, I kind of forgot I had started this thread. But I noticed some traffic coming. I have had a tremendous amount of success since. Around 40,000 page views, and such. Should I share what I did?

Sam

You really need to decide on the goals of what you want to achieve with this site. Once you have that sorted and written down, you need to hire a designer to fine tune the layout. Hiring a designer will greatly help to improve what you are trying to communicate.

If you don't have any designers in mind, you can always use a service like 99designs.com or similar to get your own wordpress theme designed to suit your business needs.

Oh, and once your site is well designed, it will be easy to use. The site isn't bad now, it just needs a designers eye for detail to go over it. The backlinks and traffic will come once your site is communicating your message effectively. You also need to focus on your branding, consistency across your online presence is critical for success.

Link to other blogs from your blog, outbound links are cost effective marketing form. Many bloggers also track who is linking to them or where their traffic comes from, so linking to them is an easy way to get noticed and generate traffic.
