I am reading about blogging to generate new traffic. Can someon elaborate on that?

Also, is there any good software out there that allows you to do this semi-automatic?

I am trying to update my site and any useful software or services would be great for my visitors.

I think that blogging is more of a way to generate more targeted traffic for your website, rather than just "new traffic."

The reason I say that is because building a blog and just leaving it there isn't going to get you much new traffic...you also have to advertise it just as much as your website if you're trying to get traffic through your blog.

Blogs can get you traffic to your website, but you must first get traffic to your blog. It's like a funnel system.

I suggest that you write articles, post in forums, post in other blogs, and make some videos in order to get traffic to your blog.

Blogging for traffic usually means "getting others to blog about your website." For example, if you have a website and to promote that website, you start a blog, what will you do to promote that blog? Make sense?

So look for bloggers who will be willing to give you a plug. Blogging is only for website owners who are experts in what they do and update a blog atleast 4 times a week if not more.
