Well its already been said, but its adding content, because search engines love content, and branding yourself thru web 2.0. Adding pics and being where the ppl are is key!

Not just doing a website, but also a podcast. Some people listen to podcasts, and don't goto the website. Others goto the website but not the podcast. But it helps! it brings new people to the website for sure! Also trying to find a "podcast" or "website" group that fits your scheme is essential.

The most valuable thing was getting it professionally designed. I used a few guys in montreal called men with pens (.ca) They really made a big difference to the look and feel and professionalised the layout.

Now I've just finished building my new website, and looking for some good ranking, and traffic to come from search engines...
