You should not use adwords without extensive research. This can become expensive fast for inexperienced users and you can find yourself paying thousands with no conversions. Great tool, just make sure you know how to use it.

I completely agree with Mike. Only through a lot of trial and error did I get the correct balance with Google PPC. A level playing field? I beg to differ. Some keywords are quite expensive, and those companies with larger budgets will get those keywords more often. They can afford not to have conversions, whereas the small guy can't.

Like Mike said - use it with caution and extensive research. AdWords worked well for me once I learned to play the game.

great PPC campaigns take a lot of work, time and effort to make happen for you. Whether you are small business or a large - the puzzle is no secret. And if you can't or don't have the time to manage it yourself - I truly advise you go with a professional - as we truly do know the effort of what it take to create a magical PPC campaign.

yes, and if you have a huge business, PPC it's the best option, No doubt. You will save money and time too. I'm afraid that PPC is not so useful for the smalest business, but for a big one, the best!

I agree with both comments by creative master & mike810. PPC is no magic wand - it requires you know what you're doing else you could go broke quite fast! So the best thing is to signup with a good PPC management firm to do it for you.

Yes to all. I think one of the most valuable uses for PPC is to test which keywords will convert, so you know where to focus your SEO efforts. Its a cheap way to educate yourself, as long as you set low thresholds for your maximum budget and don't bid too high. One serious issue I have seen is people who think they need the first spot or even to be on the first page. Sometimes it is best to be on page two or three. Sure you will get less traffic but I have noticed it is often better, since the people that make it to page two or three are often more motivated buyers. Just a thought.

Here is a great article on PPC basics for small businesses.

You can also use PPC as your link building tool, which may drive relevant traffic, will get your site more visitors and brand exposure. And also I would think that every hard fought PPC customer will also advertise your company by word of mouth if they are satisfied with the service or product.

PPC is like leasing a car. SEO is walking into the dealership and paying cash.

I will say this - PPC can be useful for keyword targeting in organic SEO campaigns.

I've built more than one site based on Google's keyword traffic data, ranked it, and then discovered that Google's data was WAAAAY off. If I'd spend a little bit in AdWords before doing so, I could have realized that the traffic for that keyword sucked.

    Hi

I completely agree with mike. You should not use adwords without enough knowledge. It is better to hire ppc company in fact.
