All great tips. One aspect that's huge is relevant content. Of course, it helps to have keywords, but if you have genuinely good content on your site, that builds respect. You don't have to just sell, sell, sell - you can educate and inform just the same.

I now have a Google News Syndication News site. My content goes straight to Google News. If you still have your site/product (and it hasn't killed anyone yet haha) send me a unique press release(300-400 words, up to 2 links) and I'll post it to my site, which will go to Google News for the world to see. I won't charge you a dime. It must be unique though.

Social networks are also a way to get traffic for free. If you are popular on networks, such as Twitter or Facebook, the traffic you get from there can easily surpass the traffic from Google and the other search engines. It is true that building a large network of targeted followers on Twitter and supporters on Facebook takes a lot of time and effort but generally the result is worth.

that is pretty comprehensive. I would recommend Autosurfers (just G00gle it) as they are like lazy traffic exchanges and most just good for junk traffic to boost your stats.
