lol one of the biggest reasons why the SEO industry gets a bad rap.

People like LA taking on jobs they aren't qualified for.

What are you doing taking a job if you don't even know where to begin? Makes no sense to me.

The algorithm is constantly changing making even a qualified SEO's job hard. I'd *never* take on a job where the goal was to increase pagerank. I mean, who cares? Really i've seen PR8 websites that have zero profit. I've seen PR2's pulling in 2 million a year or more, so who cares? If that's your measure you're in trouble.

Junk link building that will get PR and perhaps even moderate rankings:

* Article submissions to generic sites
* Social bookmarks
* Forums with sig links
* blog comments on "do-follows"

JUICY links that produce sales & branding

* Viral Video
* Link baiting campaigns
* Adwords campaigns that target free content on your site
* Press releases
* A wikipedia mention
* Facebook etc...

These things all get people TALKING about you, and that... in essence
gets the world to take notice. Google's new system kinda sucks in some
ways but it sure makes it harder for spam sites to get in...

Everybody says "content is king" but I have seen many sites where there are very few texts, may be a paragraph or just few sentences on the homepage, but the page rank is very high. How can this be possible?
And it is very hard to get the right amount of content because too much content can make the texts sound redundant and make the website look less professional.
