SEO is something that should be integrated throughout the design process. It is important to understand how Google and other search engine bots work to make sure your site does not throw up any road blocks through their innate design.

You will have to submit to directories and then make sure that your site is optimized so that all pages of the website is fully indexed by search engines..

Different search engines use different algorithms to recognize websites so you will have to do some tweaking to make sure that the site is getting indexed..

    SEO basics(for free)

    1. The search engines visit your site occasionally and index new topics on your site.

    2. The search engines measure the quality and popularity of your site by the number and types of links to your site by other website.

    3. According to the site topics, quality and popularity and many other parameters the search engine rank the site for each keyword searched.

You never actually HAD to submit your website to be indexed by Google. There are actually ways to get indexed within 24 hours through offpage optimization (much faster than submitting).

With regards to point 1, this is only true if there is a link to your site on another website which is indexed by Google. If you buy a domain name and upload some content it will never appear on Google unless you get some inbound links on indexed sites OR include a sitemap.

When mapping the keywords, I suggest no more than 2 - 3 related keywords to each page. Remember to also keep the URL static and SEO-friendly ex. Search Engine Optimization Services | SEO

Once you've mapped the pages, your title tags and meta tags should all support each other with keyword positioning and density.....
