    question about online advertising

Let's say I create a website, hypothetically speaking, and I receive tons of impressions from that site. Let's say a company wants to put an advertisement on my site, and want to put like a banner. What is the process to collect money, and what kind of legal procedures do I need to go through?

    Hello Peteyflow,
There are no legal procedures you would have to do. The only thing you would have to do is pay taxes on the revenue earned. If your not setup to calculate impressions you can use companies like Google Adsense,YPN,Adbrite,Bidvertiser and so on. Or you can sell privately and just charge on a per month basis instead of CPM (cost per thousand) impressions.
The companies will either send you a check or direct deposit to your bank account. Private transactions are usually paid through Paypal.

Thumbs up Just bill them like a normal subscription

Just bill the advertiser like any other subscription service.

The only legal issues you might run into is if you don't actually display their ads or if you promise a certain level of impressions for the advertiser and are unable to deliver.

If you don't have a payment gateway and merchant account that does recurring billing, just setup a PayPal subscription button and put it on your site along with the advertising info.

Once someone pays, send them to a page where they can send you their ad, or build a small application with an advertiser page where they can upload their own ads.

Also, like Gold mentioned, you can use any number of platforms that are already in place to manage the advertising on your site.

Mod or Admin go ahead and delete my profile. I'm normally very nice and helpful. But you Jenie get under my skin to no end. Your one reason I don't ever get on at that other forum.
The one thing I have ZERO tolerance for is ignorance. You can post the most ignorant replies to my threads and posts. I have never had anyone get under my skin the way you do.

Sorry Mod/Admin I just had to. I liked this forum,I've never spent as much time on another forum as I had on this one. Time for me to find a new one.
