Social networking sites are a GREAT place to get your site out there.

Make an account and add as many people as you can, comment them and tell them to check out your profile, and then on your profile, put a link with a description.
Make $100 every 5 people you refer to sign up!

Basic SEO is must. And links to your site from other sites drive additional traffic. It seems simple, but ask visitors to bookmark or share your site or save it in their Favorites list. I use a widget called tell-a-friend to do this. Other than this use your creativity, viral campaigns to promote your web site.

Have they officially given u a start date for ur new position?
I would say start ur new job on the day ur supposed to.
It's up to the company to manage their own human resources problems, it's their responsibility to ensure they have suitable staff for the work they want done.

But you should raise it with HR or a manager, make sure they are aware of the problem, outline that u can't do two jobs at once, and suggest they get a temp in for two weeks.
    Congrats on ur promotion!
