Also, would advertisers consider such clicks to be valuable, assuming that my website attracts a very niche database of visitors that is also my advertisers' target market?

it depends on what your ad network says. normally its illegal to incentivize for PPC.

For CPA there are tons of opportunities to incentivize your offers. And they pay much better than PPC.

if you're the advertiser paying an ad network eg 50 usd for a PPC campaign, then yes, when someone clicks on your ad, you pay a few cents.

that's how Google makes its billions every year. small and large companies want to be at the top of google searches and as a result, they pay more and push the cost of a click from a few cents to dollars. Imagine 10000 people clicking your ad , and you pay 2 bucks for each click. That's 20k dollars spent on advertising , and we haven't even talked about conversions ( if the click actually makes a difference in what you're selling)

Yes, that's pretty much it. You buy clicks (visitors).

Click fraud is when you click on your competitors' ads to make them waste money. Encouraging people to click on your ad is not click fraud. In fact, that's exactly what you should do.

I'm always under the impression that my responsibility as a publisher towards my advertisers is to direct my visitors to the doorstep of their e-commerce websites, that's all. Just to confirm again, would advertisers see any value in a service that depends on incentivization to drive unique hits to their websites? Is mere traffic enough, or do advertisers also look out for traffic that is generated out of pure interest?
