    Please HELP..very ambitious..very lost..

    Hello every one,

I am relatively young (18) but am very very ambitious and driven to start my own business.

I intend to do something online but don't know where to start. I literally have no idea what is good right now to start in, where opportunity is, or how to find out those answers. I co-owned and operated two business in the past but they weren't actual businesses really. I bought jewelry wholesale and sold it retail on eBay. I was making an average $4,000 a month or so but that died off and haven't been making any money for the last year or so.

Once again, I am very very eager to start an online business but have NO IDEA what to do and where to go. Any tips, ideas, or general advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You so much for your help,
    Zain.Dhanani

And by online business I don't necessary mean a buy and sell business..
I mean anything online that generates profits..

why it died off ? Maybe we should discuss the reason behind it instead of discussing new business idea ?

since it has potential to generate avg $4k / month before.... don't waste it i think...

    Hi Zain,

First of all I appreciate that you are serious about the business at this age. This is really very good as you can learn anything fast. There are so many online opportunity available.First of all you need to find what is online marketing and how to do it.You can start your own blog and then SEO it to improve its Page Rank in google so that people can visit it so often. The content of blog should be quality one.Might be you can share your business like how to sell on ebay etc.

I hope this will help you.

    Best Wishes.

I agree. I think figuring out why this jewelry business died off is a good place to start. It may help you to discover what about it stopped you from moving forward, what you liked and what you didn't like.

I think this jewelry venture is very much a business. What leads you to believe it isn't? I ask because I wonder if you stopped the venture because you felt it wasn't a business or didn't feel it was fulfilling enough.

I agree as well. A jewerly business doesn't just die, it takes a short hiatus. You have to know when to make the right decisions at the right time. The economy right now is a hurter, and alot of people are selling jewerly to get money back in their pockets.

If you are going to do something online, make sure it is something that you are good at and have alot of knowledge in. I know how to develop and design websites, so that is something that I put alot of my focus into. I have developed an open-mind to new ideas and bought books from Barnes and Nobles to have physical resources.

Remember, the best job you can have is something where you work feels like play! :-D
