Hello all,

Welcome to Dirdoo - bid for position directory is my site and i am working on it from past 2 months building links and all, right now I have 70 odd backlinks to my website

Can any expert tell me when can i expect my page rank and whether it will start from 1 or directly 2 or 3?? and what can i do more to get the page rank fast...??

Hello evishy:

It usually takes at least three full months for all of your inbound links to be calculated and counted as backlinks. Google's PageRank is calculated based on the relevancy, quantity and quality of your inbound links, as well as the number of outbound links there are on your website. Generally speaking, the fewer outbound links a website has the better.

Conversely, the higher the Page Ranking of your inbound links, the more Page Ranking is assigned to your website. For example, a website with a very respectable Google Page Ranking of 5 or 6, but with many outbound links might be assigned much less Page Ranking than a PR3 site with only a couple of outbound links.

Google establishes PR on a case by case basis, and there are simply too many variables to estimate what your particular PR will be. So you just have to be patient and wait and see what Google decides to do.

Can you increase your PageRank? Absolutely, but it takes time. The key is continuually adding as many relevant, quality inbound links from respected websites as you possibly can.

Don't pay attention to Page Rank too much. I think people are spending too much time researching why they don't have a page rank. Just get inbound links and quality content and your PR will increase over time.

That's wrong. Do pay attention to PageRank. It's very important. Your search engine ranking is based in part on your PageRank.
