I have to come back and put a follow up. After recent events i have to say that with free linkrefferal.com. If you write a bad review the people have the option to boot you.

If you will devote too much time on linking with other sites, then, I suggest you link with related partners only. Sometimes, webmasters/site admins go online rarely and it'll be a lucky day for you if your proposal on link exchange will get approved.
Yes, it works but time consuming.
