There are only about 10 general directories worth even bothering with anymore, if that many. Business.com, Yahoo, DMOZ, GoGuides, JoeAnt, Ezilon, are some good ones. Of course, a niche may have good industry specific directories in addition to those.

Unless you have an exact match domain name, general directories are only about 1/10 of a good SEO strategy for a competitive niche - if that.

most of this problem are, with an usefull hit directory.
There is many directory which is not concetrate on the client.
Their function most be focused on the client need, not just selling thems own product.
