I am sure it is covered within the pages of this thread, however I was wondering what tools are available to get more online traffic to our website?

Why is it that one website may have a better listing on Google
, Yahoo, and other popular search engines when the keywords entered would better describe our business website?

For example, (we sell fruit, with Pomegranates our main cash crop) if you type in Google, "Pomegranates for sale online", ours does not come up on the main page.

I am developing a online market place so we can begin to ship our fruit directly to our customers in a way to cut out the middle man, and provide better quality control as its mainly out of our hands once we deliver to the store. Trying to keep a good reputation of having the BEST fruit (not "alright" or, "Yeah, it was pretty good." But the BEST).

The reason why a website gets better listings in google is do to thier SEO campaigns.

Back linking, meta tags and titles everything has a huge effect on this.

Also u must manually submit your site to each search engine. There is a technical side to it, however once learned can be VERY beneficial for your online business.

I hunted around a little on Google for you and here are some sites you might want to check out.

I do my own online marketing, but if you have the money to hire a company go for it!
Make sure they offer you a trial.
See if you can talk to some of their references and get some real life stories and type sample websites on Google and yahoo and measure their results.
In fact, type internet marketing and see where they come up on search engine ranking.
There can be many different approaches depending on the product or service you have to offer at your store. Some times pay-per-click is the best approach, some times natural search and some time good old fashioned guerrilla marketing is best.

I have a question regarding Joint Ventures Online.
I am interetsed in seeking out some individuals online who may be interested in a Joint Venture type of proposal. I wish to share a very unique program I have developed online and I would like to locate individuals who may help me promote my program in return for free advertising and of course commissions. Internet marketing can involve directly marketing online to increase traffic to a website. Traffic building could be considered part of the many facets of internet marketing which include:
SEO (search engine optimization)
Pay per click advertising (ex. Google Adwords)
Email marketing
Social media marketing.
