I was recently reading an article on SEO and it explained that you can generate your own optimization [to a certain degree] by having internal links that link to other sites within your own website....
on my homepage i have a spry menu which takes you to the main sections of the site, followed by sub menus which are on the page itself [otherwise the menu would become too heavy i felt]
on each page of the 'graphic design' section, i link to all 11 of the other 'product/services' pages.
therefore all together there are 121 internal links [11 x 11??? hehhe]..
when i search for internal links on google, or in the webmaster tools in google - or wherever i did it, none of these internal links show up?
what is classified as an internal link....
with my spry menu i have made the text the link, rather than the background picture but these don't show up either - is this because they haven't been found yet or am i doing something wrong?
i imagine i would have over 200 internal links for only 30-40 pages....
i think that's a pretty good effort.
should i have more within the actual text itself.........
i am new to web design and SEO so any help would be appreciated.
if you need to see the website it is
Drew Evans - Corporate Art - Corporate Identity. Graphic Design - Design
at current, it is best viewed in mozilla, as i'm still figuring out how to make IE show it up as intended. [background image positions mainly]
thanks
Drew
