inbound links?

So i put my site into webgrader.com and it says I have 13 inbound links.
I goto my google account and check the analytics and it says I have only 5 inbound links?

Is it because google is slower to update? or it just only recognizes those 5 as quality links. Also what are good methods to increase inbound links?

Results are different. To increase your inbound links, you need to build more links (link building) and it really takes time. I know that Google's result is somehow delay and not displaying the current inbound links. You have to wait.

If you asked me, there's no point monitoring how many inbound links that you have built. Just keep building links with targeted anchor text pointing back to your site. SEO is suppose to be an long term effort, the day you stop building links might be the day your competitors start to catch up.

Thanks for the replies. Wayne you have such an interesting site, I was reading it the other day and its amazing that you're keeping up your site with forums and you're handling school at the same time? Do you have a social life? lol I kid i Kid thanks willing to hear more ways I can't increase links besides the basics of articles, blogs, forums, and major directories are have i hit everything on the nail

Google doesn't show all the details of your inbound links.. Google only picks the quality of back links that you are getting..

Type it in google and replace url with your actual url.

Moreover those so-called 'basic stuff' blogging, forums, social media etc are what will ultimately get you results. They take a lot of time and effort and atimes can become tiresome. But in the long run they are worth it.
