Another great way to get in the results is using Press Releases. Alot of the paid press release places can get you in there easy

This is some good information on how to submit your blog to google news or yahoo news. I think it is worth noting though that acceptance is not easy, and neither site will accept the average blog run by one person. The type of blogs that will get accepted need to be small business blogs or greater (>3 people posting daily content regularly). I've tried this in the past with a few of my blogs, and just wanted to share that point here as many of the people attempting this appear to be a team of one with their blog.

i have been using a blogspot blog so far, then i came to know that they are no follow, i edited the coding and made it a do follow...
now i will get a new domain for my blog. but can i update it like the way i used to do mine in blogspot and word press? i mean i hope i dont have to upload new content with FTP details. is that possible?

(1) It took me a long time to get included. I was rejected a couple times prior and I had to make a good case for me to be included.

(2) Technical requirements:

* In order for the Google crawler to correctly gather articles, each page that displays an article's full text needs to have a unique URL that does not change. Google cannot include sites in Google News that display multiple articles at the same URL.

* The URL for each article must contain a unique number consisting of at least three digits.

* Keep in mind that Google cannot include sites for which the URL of the main page includes a date. URLs with dates in them often change on a daily or weekly basis. This prevents Google from crawling the site for new content, as Google is unable to detect the most current URL to be crawled.

* Google's automated crawler is currently best able to crawl regular HTML links. Google is unable to crawl image links or links embedded in JavaScript.

Hi! - No you don't have to reupload content or any of that. You should be able to move your site over to a .com from a wordpress subsite without issues. Let me know if you need help!

How Yahoo News Works

Main stories (that you find on Yahoo News front page) are generated by content partners. Internal search stories are found via the Yahoo News indexing.

• Fill out the Yahoo News source form. Yahoo asks you to fill out some preliminary questions. You also need to be able to “pitch” your blog. Yahoo asks you why you recommend your blog so make it sound good!

• Yahoo News will determine if your blog is suitable for inclusion – they will contact you if your blog is accepted.

How to Get Your Blog Accepted
The competition is stiff when applying to Google News and Yahoo News, and many blogs are rejected. However, there are some publishing tips to keep in mind when creating/writing your blogs.

• Original content – Unique content wins every time! Remember to make your content SEO-friendly and add relevant keywords. Don’t duplicate content on your blogs!
