Help Getting Members to Golf Website

I recently launched my golf site three weeks ago after working on it for almost half a year. We spent enough money on a company to build the site, and have more money allocated towards advertising. I'm having trouble getting members on the site, and if I do, they aren't very active. I have used about 150 dolllars of advertising on facebook, but the clicks and the members resulting from the clicks aren't active. Where should I put my money towards? Any help is appreciated.

I highly recommend article marketing.

Writing and submitting quality articles to the "golf" section of an article directory will surely get your momentum going.

It's low cost and proven to be effective.

After two easy steps, you now have published content online about your website that will be indexed by the search engines and serve you as a great traffic source (depending on the quality and SEO).

So do people actually have to go to the place to read the articles? Or do they show up in search engine searches, etc.... do you have an example of your article that shows up in a search engine search (if they do)

The answer to your question is: Both

Traffic is already high in article directories and every niche that is listed (in your case, golf) is popular (otherwise, it wouldn't be listed). In other words, you're likely to get good traffic from article directories.

Now, for your articles to appear in search engines, you'll have to find highly searched, low competitive keywords and optimize your articles for those keywords (another service my company provides).

Notice how another webmaster published my article and now it's #1 on google.

I like the site, it is fresh and inviting and the colors make sense. I do not see any meta tags though, you need these for SEO purposes. What is your main keyword or keywords for the site?
How are you monetizing the site?

I dont really know how to do meta tags or anything with SEO, I didn't build the site, I paid a company to make it. I make money off advertisements.
