A well designed site which would attract your audience is a start. Depending on your budget you could advertise your site using google adwords or buying links on sites that your audience may visit.

Hi,
Your site must be keyword stuffed and should be seo friendly it means best keywords, title and content related to the keywords is important.

And also do some off page tasks like Directory submission, Social Book Marking with targeted keywords.

A well designed site will automatically get results, and it will became popular when the content of it should be good and it should be in a professional manner so that visitors can attract easily.

^Not always the case.

Alot of plain, ugly sites are pulling in more sales that professional-looking sites. Take this site for instance.

And of course there's my site which isn't even finished yet.

It really comes down to the sales message. Professionally designed sites may distract visitors with it's header and background etc...

A plain, simple site with a black background may be all that's needed to make the sale if the sales copy is strong enough.
