Does this SEO offer from a company sounds fishy?

Hi, I got a casino reviewing website, and a SEO company offers me at $100 per mth over a period of 6mth to attain top 5 positions for 7 keywords each keyword having comeptition of about a million results.

Is it too cheap/expensive ot sounds fair? Do advice. Tnks.

    # of results isn't always the best indicator of a query's difficulty. I was on page 1 on of Google for a three word term with about 1.5mil results with one link and an exact match domain name within 3 weeks... but in contrast I've also worked for months on terms with less results that are extremely competitive.

I ranked a site for 8 similar terms in two weeks for $200, though I normally don't like to work that cheap, I saw an easy way to do this job. I've also ranked a client #1 on Google for a 3 word term in less than a month with a brand new site. So quick Search Engine Optimization can be done in some cases.

However, $100 a month is really low.... in discussions with other SEOs, Aaron Wall told me in the past not to even touch anything for less than $1,000 a month, because the time I would invest vs the money I could make just working on my own sites instead of someone else's wouldn't be a good trade off. I'm not established enough to be able to get away with that threshold, but with that said, it's a lot of hassle to have an SEO client for $100 a month. So they either feel that these terms are exceptionally easy, like to work really cheap, just want to take your money, or have no idea what they're getting into. One of those four.

I know that was not helpful at all. LOL
    .
Google isn't as dumb as you think.

Did they give you a detailed proposal outlining what they will do to get you the ranking? Onsite optimization, backlinks, article submission, directory submissions... etc... a good (real) SEO company will give you a breakdown of exactly what they are going to do.

Also, for $100 a month you are not going to get much of anything from a reputable company. Most companies that offer these services will get you up in the ranking real quick and the second you stop paying them you will fall off the charts and be back to square one.

You want good permanent long term SEO work... don't go with the fly by night quick shooters like this.

By the way million2b - I briefly worked for a casino review site based in Norway - that is a ridiculously competitive niche.

You didn't list the keywords specifically, but if it's the popular:
    - casino
    - online casino
    - gambling
    - online gambling
    etc.

$100/month is really impossible. Maybe they are amateurs themselves and do not know what they are getting themselves into. If that is the case, maybe work out a deal with them where you pay after you see some results?
