Does Google Adsense slow down your site?

I'm thinking of monetizing my site soon and probably will start with adsense. Is the adsense code a large file? Will it slow down my site's loading time?

Adsenses definitely slows your website loading time. But don't know actually for how long.

If you post a couple ads per page it shouldn;t slow you down....unless your is is already over loaded.

and if you put too much ads in your blog, its not nice. You make blogs to make some good reads to all
