    Combining Facebook/Twitter/Pownce messaging

I know there are programs for updating your status through Twitter without accessing the site, but does anyone know if there is a program that will update your Facebook status, Twitter status and Pownce status (or any 2 out of 3) all from the same console on your desktop?

That would really make my online messaging life easier.

I'd be interested in this, too. If it doesn't exist, it's a great idea for a developer to tackle real quick!

    Talking

Well, I figured out a way. It's not too pretty, but it works...

    STEP ONE
Basically, you add an app called TwitterSync to your Facebook applications. Set that up to access your twitter account.

Now anytime you update your twitter, it will also update to your status within Facebook. To take it one step further...

    STEP TWO
Now go create an OpenID or, if you already have one, login with it at twitterfeed.com : feed your blog to twitter - post RSS to twitter automatically. This site will allow you to submit any RSS feed around the Web to your twitter. (For example, you can have your blog posts update to Twitter every 6-12 hours or so if you wish by setting it up here.)

After opening an account at twitterfeed.com, you are going to go to Pownce and access your "public profile." You will see an option there to "subscribe to the feed" through RSS. Grab that RSS url and paste it into twitterfeed.com's setup to feed your Pownce RSS into Twitter.

Note: In order for this to work properly, you have to allow your Pownce posts to go out to the public--otherwise, they don't access your feed.

I would suggest that you uncheck the box to include the link so that your Pownce posts don't link back to the Pownce post page (not really useful for posting status messages). The link check box is really useful for importing blogs.

If you so choose, you can also add a prefix like "Pownced: " before the message to distinguish between posting sources.

    STEP THREE
You know have your Pownce posts feeding into Twitter every 30 minutes (or whatever time interval you choose), and your Twitter posts syncing with Facebook simultaneously.

To take it one step further and make it possible to update all three from your desktop, simply install the Pownce software (located on your homepage on the site). The interface is pretty clean and allows you some semblance of "ease of use" in this complicated solution.

Feel free to ask questions--I got mine working just tonight.

    @ WEBOSIS

I agree it would be a great idea for someone to get worked out. Apparently, Pownce is the problem for the moment by not allowing import feeds, but I am sure this is something that they are working out soon.
