Post an ad to craigslist and hit the books! Or just hire someone to do it. In the end you might be paying the same to someone else to do it then all the time you will put into it learning and spending on tutoring. Although learning is a valuable lesson, think about what you really want.

I can be on hand to discuss any issues you have via msn. We can organise an hourly fee if you like. Alternatively i can also do the web design work for you. I'll leave you with both options and either way you should send me a pm.

As I said in your other post, I'll be happy to answers specific questions and help you get started for free if you post the questions on the forums (sorry the same questions come up over and over and I want people to be able to find them). That being said if your looking to pay someone to tutor you it will quickly get more expensive then just paying them to do it.

I would like someone that is not commercial, maybe like a good I.T graduate, someone who is good at SEO/ advertising website that will not require an arm and leg to assist me with marketing the site and to give me some advice on the site.
Can you Pm me if you are interested and we could chat please.

It's admirable to want to do it yourself but your requirements are for a professional to teach you not only how to design a site but also how to SEO it...you do realize your basically coming online and asking walmart to teach you how to be a retail store.

Why, pray tell, would a professional web designer want to teach someone else web design, esp. for free, the trainee would then become a competitor without any benefit to the trainer.

if you could find someone to teach you they won't do it for free, their probably not the best at what they do or else they'd be thinking like I am that they are creating yet another competitor in the already crowed arena, and the overall price is more than likely going to exceed the cost of just getting a designer to do your site for you.

good luck regardless but I'd be suprised if anyone that isn't a friend's cousin, who took a web class at community college, even thinks about "training" you. Most designers have a college degree or years of experience or both, so why would they be willing to teach you secrets they learned through sweat and blood.

I suggest leaching of people online, as most people dont have the time to be mentors now adays. However there are some Indians on dt forums / freelancer.com who can tutor you in web design/developement at a realitively low cost by US standards
