Need a bit of Wordpress help

    Hello

I need a little assistance with moving my Wordpress blog. Currently it is on the main bit of my domain, so when you go to mydomain.com you reach the wordpress blog, however, I would like to now move it to mydomain.com/blog.

    How do I do this?

    Thanks,
    Sophie Marston

You need to simply create a folder on your root main webserver called /blog and make the wordpress in this folder... simply as that!

con : traffics calculation are different. it will be separated into different entity.
pro : it would be nicer that way instead of domain.com/you

As others have said here already; put it into your root folder on your host control panel. yourwebsite/blog

And as others have also said here; it is best to keep your website the way it is for page rank and other seo reasons.

As soon as you make your blog a different part of your domain, you will run in to problems with seo especially. Your blog should drag more visitors as your content is updated a lot more regularly than you website will. Search engines like google will find regularly updated content first. Therefore I suggest you keep things the way they are.
