Looking for a web development quote

    Hello

I am looking to have a survey website built. However, it will need to have more features as well. When the user has completed the survey, they can't be allowed to recomplete. A certain amount of credit must be added to their user account, the user management system needs building as well.

The admin must be allowed to add surveys, design the surveys etc and determine how many credits each is worth. There must also be a way so that when the user has claimed the credits (they email support and payment is transferred) the admin can reset the amount of credits in the users account.

You must be able to make the website secure as well.

That is basically what I have so far.

How much would I be looking at for the development?

    Thanks,
    Sophie Marston

a question: how will those users get registered, and how do you ensure they don't register twice for the credits?

    Hi Sophie,

For this kind of project I would charge somewhere around $3,000-$5,000 if we build a system from scratch. Development time should be a good 45-75 days, giving time to research all the needed functions and design a good interface.

The system would be based on pure PHP and MYSQL, and any other front end coding work to improve the interface design such as AJAX and Javascript.

If you have any questions, comments or would like to discuss more about it feel free to let me know, I'll be glad to help.

Sophie, why pay someone to develop a website with functionality that's already done and available by 3rd party companies already? There are a number of services online that let you create custom surveys, complete them online, email them to people, etc.

You might be able to save some money by using / paying someone to integrate your own site with one of these systems. A couple that come to me off the top of my head: Constant Contact and Survey Monkey.

Forgot about this thread, sorry. I have found a developer and the project has been started. Though, I had bids from $100 - $12,000!

AlexFisher: Good point, I could do that, however I am targeting a very specific niche and this project will be half integrated into another venture.
