Logo Needed - will pay accordingly

Hey all -- I am in need of a unique logo for one of my newest ventures. The site is HeroVenture.com | "...business networking for those who serve"

The premise for the site will include a meeting/socialization place for Military, Police, and Fire Fighters to get together and chat. The logo should include the basic design properties as listed below. Will pay a minimal fee for the logo via PayPal (or whatever your preferred method may be). -The general color scheme for the site is Orange/Silver/Black/White (see site for initial release info... it's a very basic design right now.
-The logo can be the full width of the page... this would be nice to give a visual appeal to the site
-Must incorporate the military aspects (Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines; rifles, air planes, soldier silhouette, etc), fire fighter aspects (flame[s], fire fighter helmet, etc), and police elements (pistol, handcuffs, etc)
-You can use different aspects of those color schemes, ie: blue (police), red/orange/yellow (fire), green/brown/black (military) and incorporate that into the graphic if you choose.
-Most importantly - the graphic should scream web 2.0... it should be clean, tidy, with the "HeroVenture.com" well displayed and prominent. Along with the text - if you want to design a 'logo element' (like drupal has the head), feel free --- that will help with branding.

LET YOUR IMAGINATION RUN WILD!!! You can post the images on here, on the net with a link to them, or e-mail them to me. Your choice. No deadline yet -- but if you submit something ASAP and I like it, I'll go with yours... so don't wait for someone else to beat you to the punch.

Hey thanks for the reply. I posted on here because I want to let up and coming artists get their feet wet, or let the forum members here post responses. Thanks for the input - but not looking to 'outsource' past YE

What is your general budget, and do you want vector or just bitmap?

Phreez at defunkt designs was providing excellent logos (Defunkt Design) and graphic services for bottom-of-the-barrel pricing. My budget is under $100 for this project. Whoever provides the best logo at the best price will be awarded the project.

Why not post this project on worth1000.com? It is a place where you post the project and people put in their logo designs to your specs and it is a contest. You can award the winner $100 or what ever amount you are comfortable with and also give them credit. These are up and coming artist that are fresh and hungry. Then, you have multiple logos to choose from.

It's a little more immediate than that. Also, I'm doing this in part for the YE community. Plenty of young ones on here that want to get their portfolio started. Again - I'm not going to outsource this past YE. There are plenty of qualified individuals on here.
