How to create users + databases? Dreamweaver?

Hi guys.

I was wondering. What "program" do you use to implement subjects to a website, such as public user functions?
Furthermore, what do you use to create (databases?) so users on the particular site can create listings in a e.g. a classifieds-function or a forum?

I'm quite a newbie when it comes to website creation, and I have just started to fiddle around with Dreamweaver. Are these two functions even possible to create with Dreamweaver?

I apologise for my lack of technical knowledge within the area. If you are not quite sure about what my question is about, then please let me know and I will try to specify the question further.

Daniel, you might want to investigate a couple content management systems like: Drupal, Joomla, or even Wordpress. These will help you get up and running with a database driven website pretty quickly and allow you the freedom to customize and develop things as you learn more and get more comfortable with each system.

For certain types of sites, e.g. a forum site like this one, there are other systems or frameworks you can use. For a forum, check-out phpBB as an example.
