Drop your opinions (IE Vs Firefox)

    Hey guys,
I am new in net surfing. I am using IE (version 6.0). I want to know your opinions about IE and Firefox. Which one you like to prefer to use? Please feel free to give a frank and independent opinion.

I love Firefox, but some of the Java programs I use don't work well with it. Also, when I download a file I hate that little screen that pops up. Any one know how to get rid of that?

IE6?!?! that is the worst browser ever - Ok, not quite, but it's terrible!!!

Firefox is hands down the best browser... especially if you're involved with web-design etc.

I sometimes need to use 2 different browsers at the same time - then i use Opera...Opera is great from a 'purely browsing' perspective. I'd try it out if i were you.

If you wanna stick with IE for some reason, then you must at least upgrade to IE7. It's still shit, but a huge improvement on IE6.

    Oh yeah,

you can see what browsers are being used here: TheCounter.com - The Affordable Web Site Analysis Tool

Seems that people have been upgrading to IE7 in the last 3 months or so...

I love IE7. The way it handles graphics and displays pages is absolutley beautiful. It is not css compliant which is terrible if you are a developer, but it is much nicer than any other browser out there.

Re:Drop your opinions (IE Vs Firefox)

I prefer Mozilla Firebox because it runs much faster than IE. Firefox has much more features that make surfing the web more comfortable and pleasant. If you want to test that then you just open the same games sites in IE and Firefox, you will see that FireFox is much faster than IE. You may also take a review of different browsers on browsers-review.com and see for yourself as to which one is the best!

FF is a lot better, just because IE 7 anti-aliases text doesn't mean it's anywhere near as good.

    FireFox Rawk!!
i fall in luv when first time i used it in last 3~4 years. Till now i used FireFox.

Since Firefox got tabs before IE, so i prefer FF coz the new tabs open at the last tabs and continues but on IE, they prefer open tabs beside page you open before..

    example :

    if FF (1,2,3,4,5,6 tabs)
then when you open link from 1, it'll show at the last - (1,2,3,4,5,6,1.1)

    if IE (1,2,3,4,5,6 tabs)
then when you open link from 1, it'll show (1,1.1,2,3,4,5,6)

do you understand what i mean???

    sorry for my broken english

    hey,

what do u mean IE7 isnt CSS compliant??!?!

what really annoys me is that for my main site i have to edit my css file for IE 6 and 7 so that they display the menu correctly...

So every time i make a change I've gotta go and redo it.

I'm finding Opera pretty good, although i mostly use FF - they're both much quicker than IE.

As far as the display goes... Yeah, IE7 looks nice, but so does Opera...

Firefox is awesome, some microsoft web services require IE so with firefox you can install an extebsion for everything, ie tab to load certain pages with ie engine, colorful tabs to make tabs better, google sync to sync two computers to have the same settings, also you can get an extension to only display downs loads in status bar area.

    FF is the best
