    Coding

How much is a reasonable price to have a website that is already designed and finalized coded? I am good on photoshop and have the design completely done. Just needs slicing and coding. How much?

Depends on how much and which functionality you want, obviously...

Basic (D/X)HTML i'd charge no more than $20, often less depends on complexity
Mambo/Joomla template i'd charge no more than $35

tom-knox's prices are good in my experiences.

But like jmeijers said, it depends on what you want and how complex your template is.

The website will need to capabilities of a forum. Member registration, member login, member account, ability to post stories, etc. Also, I want an automated email to be sent out to new members as they sign up. It doesn't seem that crazy, but I am sure it is far more complicated that I imagine. Is that still about the same price?

    Thumbs up

A forum-type site can be very complex -- it really depends on your exact requirements. At the lowest end writing code from scratch to do this would run several thousand -- probably more. I would recommend utilizing a pre-built forum to cut down on your expense -- mybb or phpbb are two good free forums that I would recommend. If your design is already complete and you utilize a pre-built for your coding pieces then you should be able to get your pre-built installed and designed to match your specs fairly cheaply even with minor coding modifications.

I would look at coding a cms template for you then building a CMS site to run to the requirements you need. I can do you a good price for the whole site instead of simply sourcing a template coder. Get in touch if you need me.
