I wouldn't have a porn site as a testimony. It makes your company look bad.

Also, using some CSS, XHTML, PHP and MySQL and some AJAX for the portfolio page would help the site a lot. I agree with the above posters and what they said you needed. Right now, what sets YOU apart from all the other freelance web designers and developers? What makes people want to use YOUR servcies over all the other freelancers that have a lot more skill than you. Honestly, in this day and age, people aren't looking for static pages, they want dynamic, updateable pages via a content management system. Give them what they want, even if you have to spend a year or two learning a new technology. For example, I'm learning PHP/MySQL now so I can offer affordable, quality CMS systems and honestly, it's taken me over 2 years to get decent at it because of school and other work. Update your technologies used! I'll post validation results when I get back.

Exactly. So, since I left a reply without much substance - let me delve into it a bit.
I built 'www.hidreview.com' with Joomla. I didnt know a damn thing about Joomla - but I learned FAST! I learned it over about a month's time. I then used Google to find a compatable reviews service that would integrate with Joomla... It happened to be jreviews.com -- Then I looked for templates; Joomla Templates Club - Pro Joomla Templates & Designs - Joomla -- Go figure. I found all that, and I knew nothing about Joomla CMS. The site looks kick ass, and I built it with the intent to sell it; I needed a CMS that was easy to use and learn... so I used my resources available.

Simply put - you need to put some sweat equity into your site. You're trying to quickly post a website and hope for a return on your work... it doesnt work like that.

Ask yourself these questions:
1) WHY would someone want to click thru your site?
2) Did I make it easy to find info?
3) Can people UNDERSTAND MY CONTENT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!
(aka price structure)
4) Is it easy for people to contact me/order?

There are a ton more - but start with those... Go get some books on web design, web psych, etc - and TEACH YOURSELF!!!! It isn't the dot-com boom anymore... you can't slap up a site in 10 mins and think you'll make it big. You need structure, you need to TAKE YOUR TIME. You need to layout some processes and FIGURE THINGS OUT if you need answers. Just like the questions above - if you don't know how to do something -- Google.com is a fking wonderful tool. I use it 23 out of 24 hours of the day. Yes, I sleep with my damn Palm (that could be made into a joke.. hehe).

Anyhow - this applies to EVERYONE... If you need something, find it. Don't ASK for it.. find your solution. You will grow, you will learn, you will then succeed. You need to take the time to lay this thing out. Do you realize who you're competing against? Solid Cactus - Yahoo! Store -- and all the 1,000's of web designers/companies that come up when you type "web design" into Google or YSM.

I'm not trying to beat you down - but FIND your answers and take LOGIC in knowing that you need to do and find things yourself.

Off on a bunch of tangents - but I used to be in your shoes... Take the info I gave you and apply it... please.

Domo.
