I think you quitting your job is a great way to start doing your own thing. Taking the leap is a big step in being an entrepreneur. I also do web design if you are looking fr any help. I am also putting my two weeks in this friday. I can't wait to be free.

Best of luck bud...I imagine that you are a smart guy and planned accordingly so I will steer clear of questioning your financial planning...I'm sure you like a meal and a shower now and again and made sure you'd still have that, haha!

I wish you the best of luck and admire the courage, as well as the fore planning to have other things lined up if it doesn't go as predicted.

Best

Guy

Sounds like a plan! GL I might be needing some graphic design and content management system help.

Congratulations! One important point you might want to consider- try and build a business, rather than just freelance. For starters, read the E-Myth Revisited. If you build a real business, you really won't ever have to go get a job again. If you are just working a job for yourself instead of working a job for someone else, you really aren't much better off. But you have taken the first step, which is more than a lot of people ever do, so you're on the right track. Good luck

Justy,

Congrats! I remember when I walked away from State Farm. My father thought I was crazy. Now I am getting endorsements from Bob Burg, among others, for what I am doing in the world of marketing and Dad is not so sorry I passed on the insurance gig...lol Hey, If you are interested in starting business networking group in Chi Town, I can get you up and running. No fee for Group Leaders so it wouldn't be a stress to your finances, and our format would allow you to attract some quality business professionals (I recommend business OWNERS) into your personal network. Let me know if you have any interest. Either way, good luck and send me your info. If we get the chance to build a relationship, even online, I may have the ability to give you some quality referrals at some point.
