Exclamation Is Selling On Myspace Legal?

I started a home based business early in January 2007 and have grown to buy 2 stores in different locations in my state. I make around 300,000 year in profit, after taxes and fees and have just recently wanted to start a online business. I've searched around for weeks and I'm decent at the whole internet/computer thing, but I was just wondering if there was anyway of listing items on myspace.com and having a Add To Cart Button linking to "PayPal". I mean is there any policy against this or legal documentation regarding this type of online business? Please respond with any information you can give me, along with some good ideas of free online business sites. And if you need to know the items I sell they are: Electronics, Clothing, Jewelery, and Sporting Goods.

I would recommend that you make a link to your page. I wouldn't trust a page with a myspace that says add to cart on it. It's unprofessional and its not trustworthy. On the flip side I don't think its illegal read the myspace terms of service.

Good Luck!

You can't make a shopping cart in MySpace.
Best you can do is use their advertising platform to link to your site, and run a page in MySpace for your stuff.

I should point out that unless you're selling fashion or media entertainment, conversions from social networks are really not all that great.
MySpace users are also generally not known for being in the upper credit limit areas.

Yes and No.

You can do it because they allow you to add html links within your profile but they do have a policy about commercial activity on their site. MySpace sells commercial profiles and will cancel your profile if they find out you have a e commerce links throughout your page.

On the other hand, they do offer a "Classifieds" section. You can also create multiple profiles in case they do shut you down and hope to keep avoiding them.
