The HTML for dummies book gives good tips as well. I recommend skimming through that book and also use some of the free sites that are listed above.

I didnt knew anything about HTML. W3Schools Online Web Tutorials really helped to start from scratch and to the advance level. Its good and easy.

As has been stated by many different people, reverse engineering is by far the best way to learn how to code HTML. Visiting any website that contains the kind of structure or functions that interest you and then reading the pages source code is truly beneficial. Don't get me wrong, going to W3C schools and visiting other HTML knowledge sites are helpful also and should not be overlooked.
