I'm wondering if anyone here recommends a particular book on A+ certification. I'm need to acquiring this certification, so I appreciate any book recommendations so I can properly study.

Thanks.

I have this certification, and to properly learn it you can't use a book, you need to go to a school. I spent nine months and $10k of intense training to pass the exams. Look into private vocational schools in your area.

You spent $10K and 9 months on a freaking A+ certification! Are you crazy?!! Perhaps you were severely IT incompetent.

Dude, A+ is the most basic of the I.T. certifications out there, and the easiest. I hate to see what you would go through to get a MSCE. I've been consulting with people who already have it, and a book on the subject is all that is needed.

So again, does anyone have any suggestions?

Yea I def. wouldn't of spent that much on the A+; go to Amazon and type in A+ book by Sybex. They explain much needed concepts for the exam in a very straight forward way. Also make sure you get the latest version as the A+ exams gets updated frequently. You don't want to end up buying an older version with older technology concepts.

One last thing I highly recommend doing is buying an old PC off of Ebay and maybe a few hardware parts RAM, Hard Drives, Power Supplies, etc....hands on experience is the best way to learn in IT.

(P.S. the MCSE is no joke haha, I'm on my first exam out of 7 and I've been studying for it about 3 months now.)
