Like the chrome browser, this will not likely gain much market-share but serves more to try to shake up the competition. Hopefully they make a more novice-friendly version of linux that people will at least start trying.
Yes, I like them all!
No, I don't like any of them.
I like some of the names.
Say what?

Take a look at the following 3 news articles, then think critically:
94% of companies will pass on Windows 7 upgrade until late 2010 – Tech Products & Geek News | Geek.com
Survey: Most businesses not interested in using Windows 7 - Software
Windows 7 almost ready; customers, not so much | Good Morning Silicon Valley
Don't need to read them, but I'll glance over them.
No companies will move to chrome for the same reasons they won't move to windows 7...
1) none of their software will work on it
2) They need to retrain their staff
3) XP is time tested for them. Dispute all of its flaws it is a good general end-user operating system.
Additionally those articles all misrepresent the same data
No plans to adopt != will not adopt
No business with an IT department worth its salt will upgrade to 7 right away. There are just to many bugs and unknowns.

Honestly, I feel as if since Google Chrome OS will be backed and supported by an already very well known and respected company, Google, and that because of the problems with Vista, Microsoft is not as much respected as it once was, that most of Microsoft's customers will be able to completely forget about Windows 7 and go with Google Chrome OS instead, especially since the price of Chrome will be FREE (and Windows 7 won't be), according to Google. Chrome is likely to be released around the same time 7 comes out, by the way. We shall wait and see what happens.
Just my honest opinion...
This is typical business practice. Since when did businesses switch to a new OS when it was brand new? The U.S. Military JUST now switched to Vista from XP a couple of months ago. I work for Chevron in the IT department and we are still getting everyone switched over to Vista. It is a logistical nightmare to switch your entire company's OS if you have over 20-50 people. It is nothing new for companies to not be excited about a new Microsoft OS releasing. Most of them just went through the gauntlet with Vista.
Note: I didn't read the articles, just the titles. If I am missing the point, my mistake.
I am astonished that not a single poster has as of yet commented on my mission statement. What a drag...
