where are you from? If you are in somewhere near china, you could find factory in china to produce and print your brand on it and get it sent to you.

Do you know what brands you want to carry? If so, contact them. Give them a call or email and let them know you are interested in carrying their product. The problem is, most companies are going to require you fill out a dealer application with your "store" location, FED ID # and Resale #. These are all things you will have to acquire before you can start buying wholesale. A way to get around it, for the purpose of writing your business plan, is let them know you are in the start up phase, and see if they will help you out with estimates of how much inventory will cost. The cost of the items you are purchasing depends on the brand, and how much they retail for. You shouldn't be paying more than 50% of the retail price.

Your best bet would be to find international wholesalers but first figure out weather you want to buy brands to sell or start your own brand of clothing. Once your business plan is solid start looking for online global trading communities that barter and sell in bulk, etc.

If you are really looking to do private brand clothing you should make the trip to china the first week in November to visit the clothing section of the Canton Fair. There will be displays from virtually every factory currently exporting to the US. It is a great place to start if you are serious about developing a product to sell
