Want to start promotional event staffing agency where should I start

    Hi ladies and gents,

A friend and I have been doing promotional modeling for a couple of years now and we are looking to start our own LLC. I have noticed that a couple of people here have started the same type of venture that seem successful and I was wondering if anyone could give us any advice. We dont really know where to start on the business side, we know that it cant cost that much to start-up. Anyone know of any books, website, or personal advice as to step-by-step advice and industry info.

I heard from one young lady that you have to have 10k for insurance. Which really wouldnt be a problem to get. By I have to have everything inorder before I can present the idea to my moms investment group. Any an all advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Welcome Mrswhite, hope YE helps you in your goals. If you have LLC questions, not specific to modeling per se, or typical start up questions feel free to PM me.

    Best,

I am confused by the question you are asking, do you want to information about starting an LLC or about how to start the promotion company in general?

If the latter I would be interested in helping with the business side, espically if you were from the philadephia metro area. Let me know. Thanks.

If you're wondering about the LLC side of things, go to your state's secretary of state website (for most states).

Hi guys I looking to get help with the business side, I have books on starting a LLC and people here at home to help me. So I REALLY need help with getting information on how to start the company itself. "We dont really know where to start on the business side, we know that it cant cost that much to start-up. Anyone know of any books, website, or personal advice as to step-by-step advice and industry info for event and promotional marketing."

Great a company, find out the competition, get some books, read up on the subject and go.

A limited liability company (LLC) is a hybrid corporation and partnership popular since creation because it is easy to form and manage from a tax standpoint, flexible and still protects the owner from some liability while allowing pass-through taxation . Transferable: I have seen single owner or partnership businesses formed as LLC to later change to S Corp or C Corp relatively easy if needed - will just cost some money for the attorneys LLCs are a good option for many entities and probably yours. Depending on your company goals, however so you might check with a business law or securities attorney.

    Thanks

    Thumbs up Great Minds!

It's funny, I joined this site to ask the exact same question.
