    startup website idea. need help!!

i want to start a site where general members of the public (not registered landlords) can rent out a room/rooms in their property, with set rules, offered services and prices to allow people to stay for periods of time, shorter than any standard house rental contract (between 1night-1 month).

I have never set up a website, and would ask for any advice from anyone about the idea, and whether it would be valid, or worth doing (im based and will operate in the UK).

Im looking to find out if anything legal could hinder this being an easy process for people to rent rooms, also anything i can do to validate that people staying are safe or trustworthy for payment.

Also any advice at all that could prove a stumbling block would be great.

    thanks

I know what your saying and I see how it could be useful but may not be a huge success without heavily advertising it. You would probably want to look into a property management company; for the website side I know you can look into a vacation rental or just google property management cms.
I don't know legalities in the UK so I can't help there but I know here in the US you have to be a licensed real estate agent to run a management company.
Let me know if I can help with anything.
