I've beent thinking of ways to get exposure to people other than the music industry. Maybe starting off by doing commercials for small businesses or music for student films. wat you think?

It is really hard to make it in the music production business today, every other kid with a computer is making music today. Just check how many artists are registered on Myspace.

Music is quite possibly the hardest industry or business to crack. I tried myself. Made a grand here and there. Got about 750,000 listens on my stuff on myspace to no avail. I seriously suggest you think long and hard if this should stay a hobby or if you can make it a business. So hard man.

    Good luck

    Hello Hovey,

The firm I work for deals quite often with the Entertainment Industry. Although we are based in NJ, we do work all over the U.S.

Should you need an attorney, please give us a call. We would be glad to help.

Good luck to you in your new venture!

To make it short...So? That never stopped the artist and companies today. Although it's not a walk in the park to get into the music business if thats the avenue you want to walk on, DO IT.

I do production in atlanta, i've been doin it since 12. I'm 20 now, and i'm starting to do production for people who are opening for major label artists, making a couple grand for my production. My artists have opened for young la, young dro, j money, and oj the juiceman in the past 2 monthes. Still I'm no where near success, just taking first steps up. Keep grinding, and do what u do, all the bs about every other kid is doing it and keep it a hobby is all well and good if you don't love it like i do, and how it seems you do, so for people like us that just doesnt apply. All we can do is plug away and stay confident.
