    Starting A Clothing Line

I want to start my own mens clothing company with a wide variety of polos, button down shirts, hoodies, shorts, jeans. I'm not sure how i would go about finding someone who can make custom fabric based on how i've drawn them. I've tried searching for fabric mills but I'm not sure if im looking in the right direction.
Any help and advice is appreciated

I live in California. I would love to find someone who knows anything about the clothing manufacturing business or fabric manufacturing. I would love to really talk with people who really want to help me out with this. I am confident that my designs can be the next big thing and I have been searching and praying to find a friendly helpful face. Email
me or respond to this please.

Andreus- I ran my own clothing company for several years. My best adivce would be to start with a niche. Maybe you design the best polos, jeans, shoes... whatever. You need to pick one thing and gain notoriety in that niche.
Most designer clothing isn't designer until the label is sewn on, until then it is just generic stuff. For example when I was running my business, my t-shirts where screen printed in the same warehouse that Holister used. My designs were printed on the same t-shirt holister used. I sold mine for $7 they sold theirs for $20.
You can find thousand of different trend styles of shirts, polos, jeans, etc. all waiting for you to put your logo or design on.
Go and talk to screen-printers and ask to see catalogs, if they are good they will have catalogs filled with trendy styles.
There is only so many ways to design a polo. Its like reinventing the wheel. Find your niche and put your designs on it. Once you are successful in that, then you can have your own fabric made.

    Webmaster,
I haven't gotten to the point where I want to make a website yet. I want to wait to launch websites and all that until I have some actual product for more success. Once I have researched and gained the knowledge along with the funds to find people for production I will keep you in mind for the website.
For all others who can help with the questions I have please continue to post your responses on here it is much appreciated.

Is it really a good idea to spend anywhere from $150 and up for the CAD software for designs?
If so which one is the best to get. I've been looking online and I've seen various different brands and some that say 2D and 3D where others may only say 2D or 3D. which would be the best to get?
