    Starting a clothing company

Like many others young people on this forum that I have seen on this forum, I want to start my own brand of clothing. I have my target selected. I know that I'm going to do the graphic design and have it printed by a and eventually move on to having the clothing manufactured. I have a pretty decent portfolio of designs (6 or 7). I need some advice on how to save money and I need to know some of the legality involved in starting a brand. My start up cost is looking relatively low due to the fact that I am going to be using American Apperal basics and not mass producing. I'll basically have "lookbooks" online full of the clothing printed until I build up enough base to start selling. Any advice helps. Thank you.

Get a domain $1.99 and hosting $4.95. Don't just choose a domain hosting company that doesn't support eCommerce and Dedicated server. WHY? because if your business grow, your hosting company should be able to support it.

After you establish a site, you can choose dropshipped or online manufacturer.

I see you plan on using American Apparel. Well, I have an account with American Apparel where I get there blank clothing for wholesale prices. If you have any interest in forming some sort of deal i'll be more than happy to assist you.

Have you explored all of your local options? I am in the same position and I have found a local screen printing place that is much cheaper than any online deal, plus I get to see everything before I buy it and there is no shipping costs.
