I have never imported. I have a few years of business education. I want to import racing motors and cars from japan. I have a guy that travels to Japan to buy motors for his personal use. I want him to buy a few for me to resell here in the U.S. We have warm leads on clients. Being a small operation how do i import these motors and cars cheaply and quickly? Can i get bulk rate by partnering with other importers? What licenses do i need? Importing the cars may require me to seek outside financing. Who would finance a new, small operation like this? I'm seeking creative solutions. Thank you ahead of time.

You first need to know the rules and regulations of the US in this market regarding imports and trade regulations, along with the country Japan from which you are purchasing the vehicles. There are certain trade regulations and free trade requirements. Look at the US Customs website. There are a number of import car dealers in the US. I would partner with other importers to make it more economical on you.
