    Talking start advertising network

    Hello everybody,

How much investment does one need to start an internet advertising network (like double click and blue lithium) ?

What are the entry barriers and other challenges for the same?

At this point, your initial investment would need to be pretty large due to the industry being dominated by a few extremely large players (like the ones you mentioned).

Your best bet would be to start a more niche network centered around a specific industry or interest (i.e. MarketHealth.com)

OpenX might be a viable platform for something like this. Being that it's open source it could be tailored to suit your specific needs. Just find a reliable programmer (or programmers) and have a solid business plan.

No lie, I have an idea that would revolutionize the Search Industry & Internet advertising all in one, however the idea is highly classified. But here's a little teaser... You would be able to advertise to millions for just 1.00 a month.

If I havn't already started this other business and invested the money and time in it, I'd go for it.

I would think that something like what you're talking about would be pretty capital intensive because of the tens of millions of websites, they have to some how know about you in order to use your service.
