Start a hot sauce business...Plz help
I live in Trinidad, in the Caribbean, and I'm looking at a business I might want to get into. I'm thinking about starting a hot sauce (we call it pepper sauce) business. We have very hot pepper here, and it is in season all through the year.

I want to sell it over the net. But with the slow economy I don't know if its a good idea.

I would like to get your opinions on, if you think this is a good idea or not? And who do you think I can market this product to?

I am new at being in business, so any help would be great.

I was thinking more about the idea, and I am trying to look into this more. I am thinking about marketing this product to maybe caribbean restaurants in the US.

What do you think?

Start up food businesses like this have always greatly interested me. If you need a representative in the UK I'd love to have some kind of part in the process.

As to your direct question, I suppose it all depends on how good your sauce is and how many competitors there currently are in the market. Caribbean foods over here have done really well recently.

I think it is a good idea. Food business is one of the best types of business nowadays, because people can live without some things, but always need food.

I think if you find representatives to export them your hot sauce, everything will be good.

Good luck!

Depending on the quality of your sauce, I could be your representative in Mauritius and eventually the Indian Ocean market.I would need sample, costs and approximate freight.
