    Staffing Agency..Where do I begin?

Hello. I am a newbie and have been browsing this lovely site and needed some help. Right now I am in the beginning stages of attempting to start a temp to hire/direct hire staffing agency here in texas. I am going to be going into business with a "silent partner" who happens to be a recruiter and have the clients but can't due to her contract open up her own staffing agency under herself so will be going through me as a silent partner.

I have been interested in opening up a staffing agency for awhile, but I don't know where to begin. Apply for a small business loan? I have an EIN so that should be applicable to this correct? For that matter how much of a loan should I be going for here? Any help on how to start this new endeaver will be appreciated!

if you are looking to start a medical staffing agency check out vismedical.com It gave me some good information and ideas to ponder over.

you need to check within your state as to what the requirements are. Here in NJ and NY, you need to be licensed in order to own/operate an employment agency. Usually there is a process to go through and I know that here, it takes a few weeks.

Yes, you need to check the information for the licences and other stuff.
The staffing agency startup will take from $5000 to $25000. Take your time and see what you want

Best thing for you to see if you can find a already established firm and takeover the management. It's very hard to break into the industry as they have over 65000 staffing frims around the nation. Good Luck!!
