Red face Some input

My friend and I have an idea for a little business here in our hometown. It would be like a photography business with a twist. My friend would take the pictures and I would put together a little scrapbook or picture collage from the event. What do ya'all think?

Thank you

That's a great idea as long as you buy your scrapbook supplies from The #1 Online Scrapbook Store and Scrapbooking Design Studio

Custom printed photo books are very common these days. I would recommend using a service like collages.net to produce your books.

I am a former photographer and having designed hundreds of wedding albums, I know there is great appreciation for a well executed collection of images.

Best of luck.

What you may also want to do is a little market research, and analyze professional wedding/event photography services in your area and are the predominant ones to get hired for such events. Check their prices and services. As a pre-revenue venture, and unless both of you are professional photographers or have prior experience, you will not have much value per se coming out of the gate, and you need to build that. You can look to make your strategy different from the "big guys" and also price significantly lower. Your strategy may be more of a "fun" one, as most of the professionals are very straight forward about "capturing those tender moments at your wedding" blah blah blah. Your strategy could be to get hired, again for a significantly lower cost, and focus on candid shots, of the kids at the kids table, uncle Larry falling on the dance floor, almost like a "blooper-esque"/"light hearted" side to the day's event. I have a best friend who was just married and they put together everyone's "less professional" pictures to have a laugh and make a little scrap book out of it.

Hope this helps a bit or at least sparks a thought or two and good luck!
