First let me say how glad I am I found this site, what a vault of helpful information!

Bascially I am a hip-hop/pop/R&B music producer who is looking to start a skater/trendy clothing line. I'm in the very very early stages still. I've created my starting t-shirt designs for both men and women and have my logo. I'm thinking about starting with a couple mens shirts, a womens shirt, a womens tank top along with a hoody design since I'm looking to release it in the fall/winter 2008. I already have marketing and promotion plans developed to go hand-in-hand with the music aspect. I have a rough idea of what all I need to accomplish but I'm a little fuzzy on the exact steps and their order as far as getting set up with a manufacturer and getting all the paperwork in order. If anyone could help me get this a little clearer I would appreciate it. Also, I am interested in anyone with a background who might be interested in getting involved, as a large portion of my time is devoted to music. Thanks in advance!

Hey Edward who here in OC will print my logo on a clear background for stickers? I usually use Smart Levels for printing but they only have white backgrounds.

Not relly looking for anything this second but I do plan on getting some T-shirts down the road to give away.

check out www.americanapparel.com they've got top quality blanks that you can print on. As for manufacturing your own designs, it's a little pricey to setup. However, i believe A.S. Tees will actually sew your labels into their designs for you with a certain minimum quanitity order. They also have very good quality stuff, and very trendy designs.

Why do you think that AmericanApparel isn't the best fit?

American Apparel runs smaller, for a skate line I would suggest Alstyle shirts unless you have a higher budget I know other smaller but nicer companies.
