Partymall.com Startup Underway

Hello! My name is Ryan and my wife came up with a great idea two years ago and we evolved this idea into Partymall.com. We have been blessed to own and operate another successful business. However, the other business is not internet related. We have just finished 2.5 years of development and are finally now ready to officially launch our site. Our site has been up, but not fully operational until now. We opted to use Drupal and the developer we used was learning as he went about Drupal and that is why it took so long. We got a decent deal on the development, and the developer got to learn drupal at a whole new level.

Partymall.com is a site you go to before your party to get great ideas and resources for your next party/shower! Its also a place you go after your party/shower to share ideas and lessons learned!

I wanted to ask everyone's opinion of our site and the usability of it. I especially would like to ask women since this is our target market. Please check out our site and be honest with us. We just turned on our "Advertise with Us" section and are now charging $20 dollars a month for vendors to advertise to party planners in their local areas. The money we are receiving from vendors we are redistributing into advertising for Parytmall.com and the specific vendor paying the $20/month.

Check it out and let me know what you think. We are open to your comments.

Thumbs up

I havent checked the site out but it sounds like a good idea. I know a craft site that is pretty popular and u share and discuss ideas.

One thing on this site im going to guess, that with the ideas you share, you will also make it available for the users to buy certain products to enhance their party/shower?

I like the Idea!

Filip, we do sell party supplies to enhance their party / shower. But this is a small part of our sales. Advertising is where its at.

yeah i was thinking that advertising would be more. Also if you dont offer all the party supplies a person would need. Maybe it would make them more likely to click on a related ad to purchase the other party supplies. Just a thought.
