Opinons on starting a website???

Good Morning Everyone,

I am looking to start a new website, over the years of falling flat on my face trying to make this work, I have learned along the way what to do and what not to do!!! I am looking for suggestions on what you think is hot out thier right now that I could build a website on. My title is VOI Network - Voices over the Internet. I thought it was a pretty catchy title, please send your opinons!!!

Thanks,
Jessica

VOI Network has a big voice over internet protocal ( VOIP ) sound to it... perhaps you can play on those keywords and sell voip as a service.

Maybe create a blog and be an affiliate to VOIP Service providers and maybe sell phones via Amazon associates

Hi There

I think that in order to have a successful ebusiness you need to look at raw numbers. You need to look at keywords associated with your concept and see what real people are searching for. Then you need to take a look at how much competition there is in regards to that niche. Because obviously, the more competitive a concept, the harder it will be to make money and the longer it will be before you see any.

Competitive niches are fine to pursue, you just have to be realistic in your expectations, that's all. Many times, the more competitive, the higher the reward when you do make it, so there's lots of reasons to dive right in.

However, I wouldn't do it any old way. You need to write pages based on good, winnable keywords so that people actually find your site. If you don't, you'll get buried in the search engines and your site will never see the light of day.

Now I use Brainstorm It! for all my keyword research. It's a free tool I get with my Site Build It! site. I also get a tool to SEO my pages so they are properly optimized to be pleasing to both human visitors and search engine spiders.

In your niche, it seems like that would be an excellent, highly monetizable concept, but don't think it's not competitive. You could also put a unique spin on your site concept to set it apart, which is always a good thing to do.

If you want a free tool to help you with monetizing or a little keyword research you could use Search It! You can get it at http: // searchit (dot) sitesell (dot) com

Good luck! I'm thinking soon you'll be an Internet mogul

In terms of the name - I'd certainly be taking VoIP into account however you've got to look at the big picture. You'd be competing with the likes of Skype who have over 13,000,000 people online at pretty much every minute of the day.

Another thing to look into is perhaps Voiceovers, maybe a freelancing market for Voiceover Jobs; you know for Radio and Film etc.

Best bit of advice would be to take a look at the various markets within 'voice' and look at the competition and see how you can manipulate your business model to offer a unique twist that they don't.

Best of luck!
